Tarot Tuesday- Get Moving!

Today's Tarot Tuesday reading is also using oracle cards for further clarification. This was really fun! The tarot cards are by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. The oracle cards are "Trust Your Vibes" by Sonia Coquette. As always, the reading applies from today until Monday. It is for anyone who reads this post on the fan page or the blog.

The first position is the current situation and includes the first two cards pictured. The first card is the Knight of Earth – this indicates that you are taking action in earthly matters. You are in charge and are steady, capable, and dependable in whatever you are taking on. The second card – share a breath – indicates that you are very in sync with those in your care or under your direction. Breathing consciously is very grounding, which goes perfectly with our Knight of Earth. 

The second position is advice. The first card is the Knight of Air. The Knight of Air acts quickly and uses creative solutions and thinks outside the box for any challenges he encounters. The second card suggest that you exercise in order to raise your vibration and clear the way for those creative solutions to make their way into your field of awareness. Any exercise that calls to you is beneficial in this and many other ways, but if you are considering something new or something you have not done in a a while, this is a sign that you should definitely try that. Also, this suggests that you act more quickly as the Knight of Earth stays in the planning stage for a very long time, but the Knight of Air often acts without a plan. The advice is to leave the planning stage and enter the acting stage based on your plans. Creative activity, such as painting, drawing, sewing, singing, acting, dancing, etc. are also recommended for grounding, centering, and connecting with your higher self for increased flow and the opportunities to be aware of said creative solutions. 

The third position is outcome. The first card is the eight of Air, which indicates that any feelings of entrapment are illusions and there is actually a way out within your grasp. By using the creative solutions mentioned above, you will break out of any self-imposed limitations. Think carefully about what those might be. The second card is body talk. This card indicates that you can tune in to what your body is telling you in order to navigate your way out. When thinking about possibilities, is your chest tight or does it feel open and joyful? Does your stomach churn, or is it calm and radiating confidence? Yes's expand the body and no's contract the body, so those sensations give you your answers.

In summary, this week is about being grounded through breath and exercise in order to find creative solutions. (Yoga is an excellent option using breath and body). Stay in tune with your body in order to deeply connect with your angels and guides. 

Tarot Tuesday- Trust the Grand Plan

Here is your reading (whomever is reading = you) for today through Monday!

Current Situation- 6 of Fire (Wands)- This card showed up as the outcome a couple of weeks ago and now we have it as the current situation, so we really have come full circle. You are feeling victorious, perhaps even in the public eye or in the eyes of others, and the work you have done is paying off in an internal, self-rewarding way. It really does strike me that this card is related to the former reading, so take a look back and think about what internal work you have done for yourself.

Your Expectations- The Sun- Again, victory is mentioned. You are feeling good about something and expect to reap those rewards. The path to enlightenment is clearing as you dig away at your psyche's layers.  Here comes the sun! (doo-doo-doo-doo) If this feels ironic to see such a bright card given your  current state, remember that experiencing the darkness allows the light to enter. You know that by allowing your feeling to surface and doing spiritual work, you pave the way for brighter days.

Hidden Influences- 5 of Water (Cups)- You've experienced a loss and are in the throws of really feeling that loss. Be sure to grieve properly, but also remember what you still have and that there is always a Bigger reason for loss. Trust that you learn from loss and grow as a result. Even losing parts of yourself that you know no longer serve you can be difficult. Embrace the resistance and your grip will dissolve. There is always something to be thankful for, and remembering that is helping you move forward. The Full Moon is in Scorpio tomorrow night, so we are uncovering mysteries and transforming ourselves as only Scorpio can. Full moons are a time of release, and Scorpio is embracing the shadow self and rising from the ashes once you allow yourself to burn.

Advice- High Priestess- Pay attention to the hidden information ^^, especially that which comes to you in dreams and flashes of insight. Trust your intuition and be patient when looking to the future. Take a broader perspective; see things from the Soul's Eye View. What you valued even a couple of weeks ago (when setting intentions during the new moon), may no longer hold value. Though society acts as the collective Ego and tells you being "too emotional" is wrong or bad for you, really they are saying they don't want to do the work of looking at their own feelings because it is hard, it is "inconvenient", and they would rather do other things that the material world "values". Honor your Spiritual nature. You are a Spiritual being having a human experience. The whole point in you being here is for your Soul to learn. Ask your Soul what she-he wants to learn through this human experience. To accept love? To grow and trust life?

Outcome- The Knight of Air (Swords)- by not rushing in and making a plan from the Big Picture, you speed along to the results you _actually_ want, not the results you think you want. Use creativity and heal. You'll live creatively because your Soul's true nature is that of an Artist's.

Well, doing the 5 card readings for Tarot Card Tuesday has been so much fun that I'm still doing it! Since there is at least a temporary pause in construction (a small repair is in the near future, unfortunately), I can be with my laptop and put the reading on the blog more easily. And since I've been doing 5 card readings, the name has changed to Tarot Tuesday.

From the looks of this reading, the Cardinal Grand Cross, which makes for very tense energy, has started to affect us in somewhat challenging ways:

Current Situation - “Page of Water” - SITUATIONS: A new person or emotion-rousing situation enters your life. It could be the start of a friendship or romance, or the renewal of one from your past. A current relationship may enter a new phase. It’s important to discuss your feelings with those around you. Your intuition and psychic abilities may also be heightened during this time. PEOPLE: A youth who’s emotional, intuitive, and sensitive. A person who’s gentle, kind, artistic, and sometimes quiet.

Your Expectations - “Three of Water” - It’s time for a celebration! Weddings, announcements of pregnancy or birth, and reunions are likely. Graduations or promotions are on the horizon.

Hidden Influences - “Knight of Air” - SITUATIONS: Events in your life go into high speed! Your plans can now be implemented, and you should see a great deal of activity. In summary, emotions are running high due to new situations, probably stemming from work, but it could be those close to you having difficulty and you experiencing the backlash (or both). You know you need to have more fun- this situation is taking its toll. You may be planning a celebration or gathering (perhaps for Easter). An impulsive person who is focused on action (again, probably the person having difficulty and as a result you are experiencing difficulty) may act and speak without thinking and this results in hurt feelings. Unfortunately, this person is only thinking of himself (likely male, but could be female) and is not considering the feelings of those around him. Take a look at the big picture and see what you can learn from the situation. Detaching from the emotions that have stirred up and taking a bird's eye view will help you see what the Soul needs to experience in order to learn and release. Notice that the unicorns' heads are all crowded in together. There are too many different ideas that are not harmonizing, so take a breather. This is the suit of air after all! What Happens When Mars Goes Retrograde?

Mercury is now direct (though still in a shadow period until March 22nd, so we aren't totally free from its grasp), so we can turn our attention to another big retrograde- Mars. For a few days, I was feeling incredible tension and knew I had to look into it further. After a couple of Tarot readings, I finally looked up how a Mars in retrograde affects us. Seems Mars wants us to re-visit anger we've kept hidden from ourselves or its counterparts resentment, depression, and frustration. The Scorpio side of Mars (Mars rules Scorpio) wants us to dig all that up and release it for healing. The Aries side (Mars also rules Aries) prefers to get to where it's going quickly and can get frustrated easily by roadblocks. Mars in retrograde can also release buried ambitions and passion. How this manifested for me personally was that I was feeling incredibly creatively inspired but kept running into issues getting the time and space to actually create. Seems this can be a message to learn patience and to slow down. Once I spent some time clearing my work space and took a process oriented, leisurely pace to creating, I felt magically transformed.

I like what the author says about "not letting Mars energy out without a leash". After all, Mars is currently in Libra, so we are seeking balance. (Note the date on the article and that the retrograde dates at the end are for several years ago. The nature of Mars retrograde still holds true.)

Jupiter stations direct today in Cancer, so the expansive energy of Jupiter joins the love of hearth, home, family, and protective nature of Cancer. These properties flood the collective during the stationing, so add that layer over the Mars retrograde energy and there may be tension, passion, and/or ambition uncovered at home. Add that to the moon moving into Gemini, and you'll probably have plenty of conversations about all you've felt and discovered. And if you're an empath like I am, you are not only experiencing your personal feelings, but also those of others and the collective, so be sure to take care of yourself! Exercise, drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods, use healing crystals, flower essences, meditate, get creative, clean, or whatever else helps you stay grounded. Hello Friends! As I was doing my own reading this morning, I got the Queen of Air (Queen of Cups) … again. Until recently, I hadn't gotten this card for myself much, but now she is showing up a lot. Today, I got the message that I should use this card for Tarot card Tuesday. I also pulled another card to ask for clarification, and got the 8 of Water (Eight of Cups). Both cards have similar meanings, but that may not be totally obvious initially.

The Queen of Air (Swords) is an intelligent woman who is perceptive and not afraid to say exactly what is on her mind. If it's not working, she gets rid of it. She cuts out whatever does not serve her be it person, place, or thing. She is unattached, but not cold. She's a perfectionist, but not judgmental. Her nickname is "the Garage Sale Queen" because she's always clearing house. ;) When you get this card, it can refer to an actual person who is like this or just the need to cut things, people and situations loose. 

This suit is all about the workings of the mind and how you are thinking affects what you feel and do. When referring to a situation, it can mean actually clearing physical clutter (or needing to), which has an energetic and psychological weight, cleaning up your eating and drinking habits to clear out your body, ending relationships or leaving a job that is holding you back or otherwise not serving you, and/or getting rid of thoughts or old beliefs that limit you. This card asks you to make clear decisions by seeing through hidden agendas while keeping a sense of humor.

The 8 of Water (Cups) is about wanting to move on from a situation, be it a relationship, a job, or a project. You're ready to be done. You may have felt like it wasn't spiritually meaningful any more and moving forward will bring you growth. You are ready to leave the past behind; to say no to something so you can say yes to something else. This suit is all about emotions.

These 2 cards together say that in your heart and mind you are ready to get rid of what no longer serves your highest good (be it person, place, or thing) and move forward on your path towards a better life. Cut off what is weighing you down, clouding up your mind, and generally getting in the way of true happiness. De-clutter your home, body (your spiritual home), car/bike (another physical vehicle for your spirit), relationships, inbox, newsletters, Facebook groups… whatever takes up too much room in any way now. 

Mercury in Retrograde has us reviewing and revisiting the past, so as you do so, clearly there are things to cut out and move forward from. 

To sum up: Let Go! 

An affirmation: "I let go of what I don't need. The past is done and I am free!"

Tarot Card Tuesday- Meaning of the Tower (Life Experience) + your Reading!

This photo and post by The Moon Woman inspired me to ask the Tarot to give me a card that represented what she was telling us to embrace:

"Moon's still in Aries so this is the perfect time to plan an adventure for 2014...something that lights your wick! Something that stretches you, perhaps scares you a little because it's just out of your comfort zone.

Waxing moon in Aries is the time to do it.

Aries evokes our inner child. So if your inner child is afraid to take steps out into the world, to explore new experiences & make new friends beyond your known universe...consider the following process:

Close your eyes & take your awareness down into your belly (your emotional center where the archetypal energy of your inner child resides).

Visualize or sense your inner child (you can look at a photo of you as a child if this helps).

Ask your inner child, what is the worst thing that could happen if you stepped beyond your known reality. Allow them the time to communicate to you in their own way. For example you may use your left hand to draw their response.

This enables our inner adult to see what fear is holding us back from growing & expanding. Like the 'Boogie Man' - it's not so scary when we face our fear directly because it allows us to get our head around it & come up with coping strategies & solutions. It's the anticipation of the unknown that terrifies & paralyzes.

"Life Experience" from the Angel Tarot deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.

This is the card that came up and it is so appropriate! Traditionally, this card is called "The Tower" and is full of scary images like lightning striking a tower, it crumbling and a people falling to their death. Doreen and Radleigh changed this card because people get so paralyzed by their fear of the images that they fail to get the real message. This card does denote rapid, inevitable change, which can be pretty frightening if you aren't grounded. If you are scared, it is difficult to move forward. However, the card tells us that we've recently had a revelation that forever changes how we view ourselves and the world. Remember that "soft reality is more real than hard reality" (~Deepak Chopra) Kali and Shiva the Destroyer both have destructive energy without regard for our Ego- that which holds onto fear and structures of the material world. They come to mind today as I conjure images to explain the energy and meaning of this card. llusions crumble like the tower in the traditional image on the card.  Venus is now direct, but for 40 days, we questioned what we love and value. During that time, a Scorpio moon had us purging what no longer serves us. What was left is what we intensely love. You may have known for a while that the changes were needed and have been procrastinating, or it may be that something has happened to force these changes. Either way, it is time for growth and to Spread Your Wings!! (Notice that there is a fairy in the top picture and the Tarot card clearly says to spread your wings!)

My revelation recently was that my Divine Life Purpose is way more important than I gave it credit. When I asked how many guardian Angels I have, the answer was 5 million! If I have 5 million Angels assigned just to me, then I must have something big to do this life time! Have I mentioned that I am an incarnated Angel? I found this out several months ago and then learned that incarnated Angels have a large number of Guardian Angels. 5 million is a pretty large number! This is definitely something that has blown away many of my thoughts about myself and what I'm to do this life time. 

As mentioned above, it's time for adventure! You may feel a bit hesitant to go on this adventure- like Bilbo or Frodo when Gandalf came calling- but, your mission is important. Now is the time to act! The Chinese New Year just started on January 30th- Year of the Wood Horse in the month of the Fire Tiger- so it's time to hit the ground running!

Another reason to start _now_ is that Mercury is going retrograde in a couple of days- February 6th. That means foggy thinking, communication delays and misses between people and technology, issues coming up from the past to be re-visited, and re-doing a lot of things. It's best to start new projects before Mercury goes retrograde, so go ahead and take the leap!

For me, this means getting my new store, Whether Stone, stocked and visually set up asap (especially since healing jewelry is such a loving gift and Valentine's Day is coming up!) There is a pile of healing crystal jewelry waiting to be photoed and listed.

2014 Tarot Reading

2014 Year Ahead reading with Angel Tarot cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine

Happy New Year! I did a "year ahead" reading for you, my blog readers. Even if you are here for the first time, you have messages here. :) This is not as detailed as an individual reading would be, but there's definitely a story here. Enjoy!

January- Ten of water- a happy family, emotional and material needs are met. Relationships are trustworthy. “Family” can be the one you were born into, the one you’ve created, or the one you’ve chosen via friends or business. People have positive emotions surrounding the new year.

February- Six of water- memories from the past are re-surfacing. This can be memories from childhood or past lives that are affecting the present. You may be wishing that things could be like “the good ol’ days” and that is keeping you from moving forward in this year as it is. The old structure is gone, so allow yourself to awaken and flow with the moment.

March- Page of Water- this month comes in with a lot of emotion and sensitivity. A young person who is creative and emotional can play a key role. A relationship either begins or a current one reaches a new phase. Try to keep your head above water as these feelings- which can be the heightened state of new love- play out. A cardinal grand cross starts this month and psychic abilities play a key role. You are more sensitive to this intense energy, so stay grounded with red jasper, smoky quartz, onyx and tourmalated quartz.

April- King of Earth- This is a good month for material matters. Business is good and anything you put your efforts into flourishes because you have the Midas touch at this time. Earth Day is in April! You may be planning something special to honor Mother Earth. This card also represents generosity.

May- Knight of Air- Events are moving very quickly at this time. Though something requires immediate attention, avoid acting rashly. Think through your options first. You will come up with a creative solution for this matter. The horse/unicorn in this picture is drawing my attention and reminding me again of the year of the Horse, which is in full swing at this time. Have you meditated on Horse and what he may teach you? Keep these lessons in mind as you “come to the rescue” this month.

June- The Wheel- This is a major arcana card representing a significant lesson that has been learned (from Horse last month). You have successfully completed this cycle in your life and are full of gratitude.

July- Unity- This card is telling us that we share the wisdom we have gleaned as of late and are able to surround ourselves with more “birds of a feather”.

August- Four of Fire- This card represents stability, a steady output of energy. You are content, peaceful, and happy with the results of your completed projects. You are rewarded with abundance from the efforts you’ve put in earlier in the year.

September- Ten of Earth- this is another “happy family” card. You are still feeling stable and secure in finances and emotions, but are encouraged to still appreciate the little things. Spend time in nature and enjoy life.

October- Five of Earth- This card represents drama, conflict, and being stuck in the middle. It’s like being stuck between two walls and bouncing between them, trying to get out. The “devil’s in the details” this month as there is a lot to manage and keep track of. Just remember that the changes are for the highest good and for the betterment of all. (I just saw 555 as the number of words I wrote before I wrote that- the angel number for positive changes.) 

November- Renewal reversed- this card reversed means that you have come to a point where you have to choose whether to stay in a situation or to move on. In this case, it indicates that you have looked at what you’ve been through (last month had a lot of drama) and decided to no longer stay in this situation that is draining you.  Remember not to give in to worry as it only makes any situation worse. You are supported by the Universe, which is full of unconditional love.

December- Ten of Fire- Too much is going on and your health is suffering because of the stress. The holidays can do that sometimes, but in this case they are adding to the fallout of the events of the previous month. Be sure to delegate where possible and meditate to stay steady.  Be wary of any back issues, or those who need to “get off your back”. Yoga asanas will keep your muscles strong and flexible and your mind centered.  The year of the Wood Horse is nearing it’s end (February is the Chinese New Year) in Sagittarius (1/2 horse) at this point and it seems it’s not going down without a fight. ;)

Remember that the new moon is tonight, on New Year's Day. That's very powerful medicine, so state your intentions. I hope this reading has given you some direction as to which way to go.

2014 Year of the Horse -New Moon, New Year, Jump Start Belly Dance Class

A couple days ago, I found out 2014 is going to be the year of the horse- Year of the Wood Horse, to be exact. This explains why on Tuesday, the card with the Horse Goddess was drawn along with the Star, which is about making optimistic long term plans!! There will be a new Moon on New Year's day this year. New Moons are about setting intentions and traditionally we set new intentions with "resolutions " on new years day. If ever there were a time to set a new intention and have it really stick, this is it.

The year of the wood horse is marked by speed, wild abandon, luck, following your gut, surprises, and rule bucking. Acting quickly and with decisiveness brings great rewards this year. According to this website- those was born under the sign of Horse, Tiger, Dog, or Sheep (or any of those in their 4 pillars) fair best this year. Those born under the sign of the Rat should be extra cautious.

My recommendation for exploring horse medicine makes extra sense now. So, if you are drawn to jewelry, images, books, and especially spending time with horses, follow those instincts. Find out what Horse has to teach you. Meditate on Horse and discover the messages he has for you.

Epona or Crystals from the Ascended Masters Oracle card deck by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.

Hello! Well, if you aren't already having a good day, then you'll be feeling pretty happy soon, because the card I drew from the Victorian Fairy Tarot deck for you is the Nine of Summer, also known as   9 of Cups in traditional Tarot. This suit is all about emotions and the 9's are about extremes, both positive and negative. In this case, the emotions are positive, because you get your wish! There are 2 "wish" cards in Tarot- this one and the Ace of Fire.  In the picture, the Fairy dances about with the fireflies exuberantly. Spearmint for virtue, moon flower for dreams and Fairy Flax for weaving dreams into reality surround her. Whatever you've been dreaming about and hoping for comes true. A couple of weeks ago, this deck told us to pay attention to our dreams with the moon card. Apparently, you did! This card often means your hopes for your love life are fulfilled. Today, I'm especially feeling that any career or life purpose wishes are fulfilled too.

For further clarification, I drew a card from the Ascended Masters oracle card: Epona, a fairy-Goddess of the Roman and Celtic cultures, is the Ascended Master on this card. She tells us today that working with crystals is beneficial to you. Carry or wear them throughout the day to help you heal, stay calm, and focus your intentions/dreams and desires. Epona is a horse Goddess. She protects them and has a strong connection to nature. In addition to connecting with and using crystals, you should also look into "horse medicine". How do you connect with them? Are you drawn to horse images, jewelry, or statues? Are you a "work horse"? This could be to your benefit and why you're about to get or are already getting your wish. Or, you may need to rest and let the higher realms do their work. Remember you are a co-creator of your world. Your thoughts and intentions are your part and higher realms take care of the rest. Keep up the positive thinking! :)

Knowing these weekly readings are for me as well as you, I know that making and selling my healing crystal jewelry has been on my mind and these cards make me very happy! It lets me know that it is part of my life's purpose (one of the meanings of the Epona/crystals card) to work with crystals. Today is one of those days it would have been great to have videoed myself drawing the cards so you could see my reaction- it was a very happy one! :D

Tarot Card Tuesday- The Moon

It's Tarot card Tuesday again, and it seems you all are dreaming up something wonderful that will come to fruition soon! The Tarot card I pulled for you today is The Moon- one of the Major Arcana, which indicates a significant event. In this card from the Victorian Fairy Tarot deck by Lunaea Weatherstone, the fairy dreams under a full moon. The moon represents our subconscious, where dreams are generated by our higher selves and the higher realms. Dreams can be mysterious with their symbols and layered messages. We must use our inner vision as well as our outer vision to make sense of them. This fairy is open to all those mysteries and the unfolding of them, as you must be. Have patience, but you will not have to wait long, for the Fairy Oracle card card (from Magical Messages from the Fairies by Doreen Virtue) tells us that your dreams will come true in the winter months.  The first official day of winter is coming up soon on the Winter Solstice- December 21st.  We celebrate the return of the light and hope for bright days ahead. Many holidays are celebrated during the last 2 weeks in December and you may be dreaming up gatherings with friends and family. With these 2 cards, I am sure you will find Empowering Astrology's update from yesterday as interesting as I do!!

How to Find Your Soul's Unique Purpose

We are all here to learn, grow, experience joy, inspire and help each other, release, and forgive. Beyond that, we each have a unique configuration of experiences, talents, and interests that make our Soul Mission different than everyone else's. If the Universe did not have a need to experience itself as thhe exact way that you are, then you would not exist. Your purpose may change - there are large and small themes. There are many purposes you have that play out simultaneously. How do you find out what your individual purpose is this lifetime? You can go about it in any and all of the following ways:

1. A Life Purpose reading by me.
2. Meditation- ask and listen
3. Past Life Regression- try this CD by Doreen Virtue and/or this book and CD (both CD's are available as audio downloads)
4. An Astrology/Natal chart consultation with an astrologist who looks at the Soul's Journey.

While I've done all of the above, my most recent experience was with #4- an astrology chart consultation with Katie of Empowering Astrology. I've been following Katie on Facebook for a bit and her method of looking where the Soul has been and themes that are played out in this lifetime was intriguing and appealing to me. What Karma do I have to clear in this lifetime?

Well, I found out a good bit about that and more in our one hour consultation. While Katie is clearly an expert Astrologist and I'm enthusiastic and have a lot to learn (because, wow, is there a lot to learn), I was able to follow her and get a lot of information about what to pay attention to in my Soul's work. (She also provides an audio recording, so you can go back and listen for further insight.) Previously, I mentioned that she saw that my connection to the other side is extremely powerful and direct because I've already been the Shaman in so many lifetimes. When I mentioned Tarot and Reiki, she was sure to point out that I really need to own my power because Tarot is just barely scratching the surface and Reiki is a bridge to something deeper.

By looking at the chart and using her intuition, she was able to see themes of the trials I've been through. The timelines she gave me for certain events that I have felt would happen lined up. She was able to explain why each January 1st was a trigger for me and see key people in my life who provide opposition. In a big way, it was a big validating relief that it was all marked out in the chart for my life plan and it wasn't just me imagining things or getting into messy situations on my own. She was able to confirm that it is my purpose at this time to teach people to heal themselves.

The sessions (we broke it into 2 half hour sessions because that worked better for me) have led me to look more into Shamanism. When she mentioned me being a Shaman in past lifetimes, I heard Native American singing (I know I was a Shawnee medicine man and was Cherokee in the 500's) and saw a scene of that life as a Shawnee medicine man. Through my Tarot/Oracle card readings, I do already contact the higher realms and deliver messages and advice for healing. Apparently, I'm already working in dreams to help people as well. So, I'm interested to see how this all develops. I am so grateful for this life.
